Sooooooooo, if in fact all the drama was in fact about celebrating MLK then perhaps naacp should have encouraged this and not the hate, filth and racism they have been pushing.
And Namtambu, pledging to "expose Charlotte for the racist bastion it is," announced a petition drive to keep the CIAA, NCAA, PGA "and any other 'A'" from coming to Charlotte.
Which would essentially drive themselves out of Charlotte because they use two "A's" in their acronym. Now that'd be leading by example!
Kojo Nantambu is more racist than anyone I have ever heard speak or listened to. I did hear him at the protest today and it was appalling.
since when did the NAACP hijack it for their own agenda?
Because Kojo did not get his way today, he is going after other national organizations to boycott Charlotte. Doesn't he know that this is only going to hurt his own followers? Less money coming into Charlotte, less jobs, more hunger, more homeless.
Does he really represent the people he preaches to?

Reason: tos violation
Anyway, Nantambu likes to stir the pot, just like Al Sharpton. They are both in the boat. There is a huge difference between a true leader of an organization and one who just has diarrhea of the mouth and spews prattle constantly. He is on the pay no mind list.

Reason: thread merge error this thread remains thanks
I'm really sick of all this talk of they this, they that, those people this, those people that.
MLK is a holiday for all of us. Not the Black kids or the Brown kids, but ALL OF US.
I don't have to agree with the NAACP's position on this one nor do you. But the nastiness, the meanness that is swirling in this thread is unnecessary.
Well said- I started reading this thread and can't believe how hateful and predjudice some comments are.
And this from some who will call themselves christians

I guess every time someone called a group of Weight Watchers dieters "they" there was malice behind it.
Every time someone called a stadium filled with sports fans "they" there was malice behind it.
Every time someone called a group of Beatles fans mourning the death of John Lennon at Strawberry Fields "they" there was malice behind it.
Every time someone called a group of DirecTV subscribers "they" there was hatred behind it.
Every time someone calls the NAACP "they", they're taking a swing at every black man, woman, and child in this country...including those who have spoken out against them as well (and no, no malice here using the word "those".
I'd love to know when the word "they" became a hateful, prejudice statement. Because unless this crap is being made up on the fly, it's news to me!
The more ridiculous the strong arm accusations, the more you desensitize anyone to your cause and the more backlash you'll start to receiver.
If I can't say anything, I'm gonna start to say everything. Because no matter what I say, you're going to find a reason to turn it against me anyway.
The true irony in all this is that President Obama went to Stuart Hobson Middle School yesterday to volunteer on a painting project.
Dr. King once said "Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve".
Our President wasn't too high and mighty to attend school yesterday, but Kojo and his band of self-serving complainers certainly are...
So telling.
