I am contemplating a job offer from a corporation in the area. What would you recommend? We have no kids, so schools are of no concern to us.

In that case, you'll want to look east of I77 in Mooresville. There are nice neighborhoods like Harris Crossing and Harris Village you can take a look at

The city limits are something you might want to consider as you'll pay quite a bit more living in the city and without kids to take advantage of the great Mooresville City schools it may not be worth it to you to pay those extra taxes. Just something to consider as you are looking and budgeting.

Both communities are very nice. They are next door to each other, connected by Doyle Farm Rd., but they are not the same community.Harris Crossing will be in the price range you gave, they have no amenities. Harris Village is $75K-$100K over that. HOA fees are $450 yrly with a community pool.

Just an FYI...both communities are connected by Doyle Farm Rd., but they are not the same community. They have 2 seperate HOA's.
