My wife is also having problems with her Blackberry. Texts and email sometimes a day late. There are also times that the phone just doesn't ring but the messages just pile up from people calling her. One of our neighbors also is complaining about the same thing. We went to the Verizon store and the fellow there rebooted the phone and said if that didn't work we should get a new phone. That was right after he said that they were having problems with the towers. But since she has been having the problem for over 3 months I doubt if the towers are really the problem. But buy another phone I don't think so.

I have two mobile phones, one with Verizon (for work) and the other with Virgin Mobile (personal). I have terrible service with Verizon, yet people constantly tell me Verizon is the best mobile service around. I don't pay for my Verizon service, otherwise I'd be extremely annoyed with them. Oftentimes, calls don't even get through from my company and they end up calling my personal phone to reach me. Then I'll get a message that I missed a call hours later.

My Virgin Mobile service is much better (at least in Charlotte). Plus I get their $40 a month unlimited data, text and email plan which includes 1400 minutes of unlimited anytime minutes. No contract either.

The system is working as it should and both you and all your sending and receiving partners are in good signal strength areas.

Also it would apear that no block shunting of messages is ocurring in your area, which is good news.

Nope. I have had zero drop calls since I moved over to Verizon 4 to 5 years ago. As for texting, occasionly one doesn't come from my fiance's phone until a day later (she has a droid 2) i.e. no major problem. The only issue I have noticed is the 3G internet service has become a little slower than it once was, probably due to all the new iPhone users that switched over from AT&T.
