Hey Babe,
I know your body is in Phoenix, but your heart & soul remain in Charlotte.

There are some people on this thread. ..I won't mention names...that feel Charlotte is Utopia!! Yes, it's a new, lovely and growing city. However, it does not offer what a major city offers.

I'm not a foodie but I really MISS good food. Greek, chinese, mexican, thai....I'll take anything at this point.
Where have you looked?

Have had all 4 of these cuisines in the last month….ranging from solid to good, and fairly authentic to completely authentic…

Best of luck.

I do feel like i need a change because i lived in SD all my life. I'm more concerned with things to do in NC, if there's great food and lots of activities then I'm game. Thank for your opinion

I'll visit and see what NC is all about. I'm a city girl so I will have to adapt to the slow pace

Charlotte does have good food but you have to look for it and its not as abundant as other major metros. San Diego you can walk down the street have original or traditional amazing food. Ive been on trips where i didnt have one bad meal. Charlotte not so much, but you do have your home work and willing to drive. it will get better like every other growing metro. Foddies keep demanding more.

It is absolutely a slower pace of life here. Ive heard it from many people that come from big metros. And thats not a bad thing or an insult, people think traffic is bad here and I laughed my ass off the first time I went to downtown in "rush" hour. That was anytime of day in SF or LA. If gives people more time so spend with family. People spend more time with family, church etc. Dont know if you know anyone that live in LI and commutes to the city. Now thats a fast pace life. on a 5:20 train to the city back by 8 time to pat your kid on the head and get to bed for the next day. its a grind compared to here.

I did and I am a native of North Carolina. Hated Charlotte but love Union County.

The OP will probably hear fewer horns blowing. Most people learn not to blow their horns when the person they are blowing at pulls out their gun. FYI LOL
