Hi everyone,
I originally was looking for a home in Charlotte, but I saw some really nice homes in Lincolnton.... I wanted to know if anyone on here lives there or can tell me what they think of the area...location, neighborhood, etc..
are there lots of stores nearby? or is everything a long drive away?
I'm looking to live in an active city where everything is close by.
I live in Lincolnton. If you want a home within the city limits...you'll have easy access to shopping...we have a WalMart, Belks, Hibbett's Sports, Cato...etc.
Our Main Street area also has lots to offer as far as shopping and places to eat. There are new restaurants opening monthly here it seems! If you decide on the more rural area...you'll have a little drive to access these things.
When I moved to this area a few years back, my job took me to Lincolnton on a weekly basis. It has a great downtown and courthouse area. I mean this in a mixture of older/mature buildings with a quaint flair. I always enjoyed walking around that area and having lunch in that little place on the square.
We just moved here and LOVE IT. It's only about 15 minutes to Gastonia shopping (East Franklin Blvd) or 20 to Hickory. But there's plenty in Lincolnton itself to not need to run out all the time to other areas. The people are also SUPER nice. Easy access to I-85 and I-40, straight shot to either up or down 321.
we live just east of lincolnton, nice quaint little town.
