Default [Pineville] Does Anyone Know...
why the Pineville Police had a checkpoint set up on Park Rd. between Sam's Club & BJ's Gas today? There were at least 10 marked cruisers with their lights flashing, a few unmarked cars were there as well. I thought at first that it was some horrendous wreck, but it turned out to be an ID checkpoint. They never said what they were looking for, hence the thread.

I'd like to say it were for illegal alien invaders, but we know that's not true. Might have been a crime in the area and they had a perimeter set up.

I think those checks are for a lot of things. Up to date lic. sobreity etc. They do one every now and then in Marvin.

I've gotten stopped at a check point in that exact location before. That was about a year ago.

I was surprised to see them there. I guess that area of Park Rd. is more heavily traveled than I had thought.
