I'm with you one this one. Stealing shrubs and plants was a big problem on Long Island back in 01-02. It shocked me than and shocks me now. There are some sad individuals out there.

When I was in HS I had a cheesy trans-am when I still lived with my parents. It had a two decent car stereos in it that got stolen. When I installed the third stereo I installed in with a new feature, silly putty and razor blades. One morning my car door was open, I didn't see any blood but my stereo was still there. A couple of days later I saw one of the younger kids in the neighborhood with his fingers taped up.

It is funny that someone decided to revive this thread today. I just drove by their house on the way back from Eliot's BBQ and sawthat the police are there. It looks like one of their vehicles (they have 5 which are in various states of decay) got T-boned.

BS13690 -- you need to add some more stories about your neighbors! It has been two years - there are bound to be more great stories! And. . . what did you ever figure out about the wheelchair! LOL! Inquiring minds want to know!

Reminds of the story about the man that didn't have a car stereo. He posted a sign that said "No Stereo". Next day when he came back he found the window of his car broken with a new sign that said "Just Checking".

Nope, never figured anything out about the wheelchair. They haven't done anything of note lately or maybe I just am better at ignoring them.

There is one annoying thing I do notice, though. It seems like I am often coming past their house as someone is pulling out. The driver is one of these people that won't pull out far enough so that they are on the correct side of the road when they put it in drive. I often have to stop while they move from my lane to the other side of the road so that I don't hit them head on. And for some reason they give me dirty looks while they do it. Go figure.

Next time the wheelchair ends up in your yard, remove the brakes.
