My street is a sheet of ice. There were a bunch of kids sledding down it this afternoon.

That's about it here...we have an inch of ice, no snow. DD couldn't even make a 'snowball' because it is all just frozen sleet.
DH made some plans for us to have a nice date tomorrow night but I don't know how we'll get off our street....it's a bit up hill and with a couple curves.
Apparently it's something he's already reserved (paid for) and he seems determined to go......
We'll see.

I doubt you'll be able to get off your street without sliding into something. And if you do the streets in your neighborhood won't be any better than the street you live on. Better to reschedule.

LOL Sunny!!

See, now I'm fine with staying home but DH....

Well, we recently had a discussion about escalating the 'romance' in our 22 year old relationship. And when I say 'we' had a discussion what I really mean is that I had a "I'm feeling old, dull and boring and I feel like we are in a rut...and why aren't YOU more romantic." moment.

This date night is his response so, yeah...he's kind of determined to go. LOL

In my defense....I haven't had many such 'moments' in 22 years.
In his defense....He's going to make sure I don't have another one anytime soon. Even if it kills me.

I did not enjoy driving today. My residential streets are covered in ice. Spent a few hours today removing the ice and snow from my driveway so that it doesn't get too bad tomorrow and Monday.

I'm going to see if if defrosts some tomorrow with the sun and 37 degree weather. Then, I will attempt to shovel the slush off the driveway and lay salt so that it does not refreeze for Monday....
