Surprisingly
Surprisingly, one of the best burgers i have had in recent memory cam from Blue Frog bar 4 years ago. It was delicious. Totally surprising for such an underwhelming place that early in the evening (later it picks up into Karaoke).

I almost resurrected this thread a week ago after visiting Epic Burger in the South Loop.
Small menu. Burger. Turkey burger. Chicken sandwich. Portabella sandwich. BLT.
You can get bacon, three kinds of cheese, or a fried egg (!) on the burgers.
Everything's kindasorta earth-friendly-granola-set-type stuff. (All natural such and such. Cage free eggs. Nitrate free bacon. Cups made out of that corn-based plastic. That sorta thing.) Nice bright, wide open space.
I had a turkey burger with an egg and blue cheese and some hand-cut fries. Definitely more expensive than your average burger joint, but I'd go back.

Citezin Kane Geneva
fresh beef,
a million different condiments and cheese to choose form,
great bun,
fresh lettuce , tomatoes , onions
Can't beat the burger,
however it is a lil pricey come dinner time , but it is well worth it to treat yourself every once in a while.

One of my fav burgers is at the Paramount Room (415 N. Milwaukee). The price is amazing: $10 for a Kobe beef burger and a pint. It would easily fetch double that at some higher-class joints in town. For $1 extra you can add a topping (fried egg w/ runny yolk is my go to). The atmosphere is laid back, and the staff is awesome.

We did carry out from Kumas yesterday...since it's fairly close to us and hubby was hellbent for leather after all the talking I did....um...omg...I couldnt finish it...neither could he... he got the Kuma and I got something with bleu cheeze, bacon and frizzled onions...talk about being in a deep satisfied coma afterwards....so later, as I finished my burger for dinner... we mumbled to each other....we have decided to try someplace new next weekend....maybe that kobe beef work of art....
Carry out wasn't too bad..about 45 minutes so he ran some errands then went and picked up the food. He said the line was out the door which I am seeing is very typical...
