Yep. I don't think it be too long before Clark is vibrant all the way to Wrigley. There's only that stretch from Wilson to Montrose that is weird.

To the OP, the school would not be Peirce that far south.

the BET could really help that stretch. Either way, i generally agree. The cemeteries hurt more than anything.

You need to be a little more specific than N Wayne. How far north?

This should help the OP find out which school boundary they would be living in.

I am not into shopping and a nightlife, but I just really like this part of town. It reminds me a lot about where I grew up as a child. Maybe somebody with children can give an better idea what to expect. I will not be working so childcare wont be an issue for us.
There has to be some decent schools in this area?
FWIW, Chet's MO is direct everyone to the suburbs.

If you really like that apartment, and the schools aren't good (even though I've lived in the area for years, I don't have kids, so I wouldn't know), have you thought about private school? The public transportation in the area is really good and there's a lot of shops and restaurants to walk to. You could give up at least one of your two cars, use any profit and the lack of expenses (registration, insurance, gas, etc.) to fund private school for at least a year or so until you do more research on public school boundaries and other neighborhoods.

I agree. That stretch between Wilson and Montross is weird. You would think that being only a few blocks north of Wrigley would make this area prime real estate but for some reason, development (or at least, significant development) hasn't really taken off.
