....the group of black thugs who chased a black woman and her partner out onto Lake Shore Drive in an attempted armed robbery, resulting in her being struck by a pickup truck and being killed? I guess her life didn't matter.

Not unless the cops end up night sticking or shooting one of the thugs responsible.

Not on your life. This was social justice to the urban terrorists.

There is a terrible lack of logic in this thread.

Black Lives Matter is concerned with police misconduct. Given this incident has nothing to do with police misconduct, it sounds like this thread is a sad attempt at defending police misconduct by attacking the messenger.

BLM, while they have their faults, are in no way involved with random homicides. The fact that they don't get involved in such matters doesn't invalidate the issues with CPD.

Then it goes both ways. They would also have to worry about police victims of all races, and police officers of all races.

Strange name to call an organization on "police misconduct."

Again, this has nothing to do with police misconduct.

This was a homicide. Has absolutely zero to do with your opinions on BLM or CPD.

It seems "Black Lives Matter" as an organization name is the illogical thing here. You'd think a group called black lives matter would have a primary objective of protecting the lives of black individuals as effectively as possible, yet they seem to ignore the fact that exponentially more black people are killed by other black people when compared to black people being killed by cops. I'm no cop lover, and I have major issues with the thousands of (mostly minorities) who are incarcerated for minor drug crimes. One of the first steps to stop this senseless violence is end this ridiculous war on drugs, break up the prison industrial complex, etc...but totally ignoring the fact that there is a robust culture of violence in many black communities is the absolute WORST thing you or any group can do to protect black lives.

Not really. They're saying police don't respect black lives. Seems to be a lot of evidence for that.

Now I think the black on black crime is a bigger problem, but that doesn't mean BLM can't protest police misconduct.

There are many groups protesting black on black crime.
