Same with Illinois, yet it's been blue forever.

Most of those residents live in blue cities. Population of metro area of just 4 Texan cities is 20 million, not even including other cities like El Paso which is hardcore blue. Total population of Texas is 29 million. Do the math.

Didn't a bunch of your Democrat state reps just run off to Washington DC in protest to avoid voting on voting laws? They wouldn't have done that if they didn't think they had popular support for it at home. So just wait. Arizona already turned blue, and i bet you Florida and Texas are next. Maybe the whole state in terms of geographics doesn't turn blue, but the major population centers will, which means they will have all the power in the general assembly and will figure out a way to consolidate it, just like they do here.

No it hasn't. The Governor's Office and Senate was Republican from 1992-02, and they even had a trifecta in the mid-1990s, controlling the governor's office, house, and senate.

It's been mostly fully blue since 2002, though we had a Republican governor as recently as last term.

Arizona only went blue because of the hatred for Trump; watch that change in the midterms and in 2024..

Sinema is liked by both parties, where as mark kelly was the choice because the other option was horrible too; in the midterms, finally, there are some strong competitors running against him, so it will be alot harder for him..

But yeah, we'll see what the Afganastan Debacle, and all the other crap does to the political landscape

Both Kelly and Sinema has consistent and recent decent approval ratings. Their disapprovals are in the low 40s. The 2022/24 GOP contenders are all tied to Trump. It’s going to be a clown show. Democrats can continue to run centrists that aren’t screaming about the latest conspiracy theory fed to them off of Facebook. The one good thing is midterms and 2024 should show how the state has changed, I think many are in denial. AZ is going the same way Colorado did. The state passed a tax increase and legalized weed last year.
