The members who know the City best are the members who answer the questions. In my opinion - which does not count - THEY are tbe best.

Thanks, but make it a nice pint of pulp-laden lemonade for me. More beer for you, as I don't drink, and I know that you're a beer enthusiast ( I suppose that you've had quite a bit of Leinenkugel and Old Style, etc...

Because I'm a beer enthusiast, I studiously avoid Leinenkugel's and Old Style. I do drink Leinie's Berry Weiss once in a while as a guilty pleasure. Other than that, I haven't encountered a single one I found satisfactory.

Mixing the Berry Weiss with Erdinger hefe-weizen yielded a concoction that tasted an awful lot like Celis Rasberry, but Michigan Brewing Company recently revived most of the Celis brewery recipies so I don't have to do the Berry Weiss/Erdinger mix any more.

As for Old Style, it tasted like fermented corn. However, they have apparently gone back to their original formula within the last couple years so I might have to give it a try again.

I know Carolina moved away... He mentioned it in a thread one time. I think coldwine just got frustrated with the mods. Or she, you know, got a life.

Coldwine probably got caught hiding assests in Costa Rica.

I have the feeling Supernerdgirl moved away. Hopefully that is the case instead of something unsavory happening to her.

Her posting volume sort of dwindled, so she may have just got bored with this forum. It happens. People move on.

She probably got fed up with the CTA and state/county/city government and said bye bye!
