...and cat-vomit cleans up much more easily from hardwood than from the ubiquitous off-white carpeting ... I will be redoing the carpeted floors in my bedrooms in a year or two to hardwood ..with strategically placed rugs for placing the bare feet on winter mornings ..

I never had an issue with the hard wood being too chilly. Ceramic tile on the other hand, brrrrr.

Craigslist is full of liars.

I was looking at posted homes for sale and many of those buildings are located nowhere near the address that is given.

I don't know how to break this to you, love, but those Nigerian priests may actually be from Lagos but they aren't really priests and you aren't really going to be wired several million dollars for a small transfer fee.

I mean really, who doesn't at least use Google Maps to check out the building and the area?

That's why you should always just sell your real estate on Swap Shop on AM 800.

The last time I listened to AM radio, the host was arguing angrily with himself while his two guests, an elderly woman and a skinhead, simultaneously debated tchochtke placement and dastardly Jews.

I couldn't draw a conclusion as to whether or not the subjects were related, much less if the guests were even aware of the other. All I know is that it was a religious experience similar to being so hungover blinking makes you vomit. I resolved never to switch to the AM again.

That show and channel were from a certain Wisconsin vacation town in the 1980s. I doubt you'll find that kind of quality programming in Chicago.
