He is not a health and wealth preacher. He is a gospel preacher that preaches the context of scripture. And do you think for one moment God is against prosperity? God gave Solomon 1000 wives and 200 billion dollars worth of wealth. That was for just 1 man.
Seriously, this is why the Christian faith is in such trouble.
I have a general rule. If they claim that they had a personal conversation with God or Jesus, change the channel.
I went to his web site. Clearly a healing and prosperity speaker.
You gathered that from just looking at his website? Have you heard him speak even one word? I've listened to him preach for almost a year and he is not someone who claims to have had coffee with Jesus in Heaven or anything like that. Why do you take it so literally? If you listen to his sermons I'm sure you would have a different opinion.
Just because he received a revelation or vision from the Lord doesn't mean it happened in an actual conversation. Don't you believe that God can give you a revelation that can speak many words to you in a moment? Of course this will happen to believers and especially for those who are in a position to preach the gospel to hundreds of millions of people. God wants the true gospel preached.
His narrative of the event seemed to indicate it was.
JN 10:27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:" There are far too many who are appointed by man or they appoint themselves. A very few do hear the voice of the Shepherd and they have power to rule in the earth with a rod of Iron/Truth and their fruit remains. I do not speak of you personally because I do not know you or how you where called but I do say to all, "Make your election and calling sure." as the Lord says.
The problem, of course, is when people claim to hear opposing messages from God. Or when they message they claim came from God contradicts that which we know is his word--the Bible.
Even in fundamental Christianity. You have Calvinist against Armenian. Both claim to be from God. Both claim to be correct, chosen, elected. But only one of them can be wrong, or both. But both cannot be right.
