Antichrist is not a person. There is no "the Antichrist" in the Bible. "The Antichrist" is a person invented by Lindsey and others to sell books and make $$$$$$'s.

There are anti-christs (small "a" .. plural "s" refering to many) and then there is the anti-christ (small "a" .. no plural)
the word "anti" is to be understood as "instead of".
So there will be many messages that teach "instead of Christ" .. aka "anti-christs"
There are many teachings and people who teach them .. thus the plural.

But there is one "he" .. but since his power is already in the world 2 Thessalonians 2:7 , gets exposed and continues on till Christ's only one return 2 Thessalonians 2:8, this "he" is not a person either but a position.
And since this "he" sets himself in God's temple and is worshiped .. then "he" comes from within Christianity (God's temple").
No one person fits the description, but one position does .... the papacy.
Seen a spirit of antichrist in the spirit through the prayer of Jesus Blood , where the Lord brought this spirit to my presence to be cast down to the pit, ...But there are many other spirit who are the same spirit in darkness.... See this spirit of antichrist is a fallen angel, and it looks like a goat with a goat-tie beard, and has two horns on its head , and it says to people who can hear it ``You are a good friend to me ``...... but if you have faith in the gifts of Holy Spirit , He will tell you who the spirit is for your protection... also the Word of God says if a spirit talks to you , you are told to tell the spirit ``Jesus is Lord ` and if the spirit says no or protest , then it is not of the Lord and you must rebuke it to Jesus ......... Also this spirit of antichrist rejects the power and the works of Holy Spirit , and it will create idol to substitute the Lord Jesus and His character and ways , this spirit of antichrist will also reject the commands of Jesus as to NOT love your neighbor as your self and to NOT Love the Lord God with all your heart...... This spirit of antichrist will reason out faith in Jesus and His promises by logic of the known and worldly customs which will block Jesus and His blessing ....... This spirit will rise up on the days before Jesus comes and will influence the whole world and many Christians and religious people will be displaced and even killed and many will be martyred .... Pray for these people that the time they are to endure will be shortened Jesus has been know to have prophesied through His children...

I think the anti-Christ is the spirit of the world, the flesh and the d(evil) that is opposed to all that God is. The spirit of anti-Christ opposes all of God's virtue and bears false witness against the Holy Spirit. The spirit of anti-Christ uses the power of fear and particularly the fear of death to rule in the world.
