Many don't understand what circumcision is. It's a circumcision of the heart, a doing away of sins.
Colossians 2:11-12--In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ: 12--Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with Him through the faith of the OPERATION OF GOD, who hath raised Him from the dead
Romans 2:29--But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision IS THAT OF THE HEART, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Philippians 3:3--For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Jesus Christ, and have no confidence in the flesh.

The scriptures dealing with 'circumcision of the heart' were a response to early 'Judiazers' and others who went through the motions of religion, ... presented themselves as being 'right in God's eyes' .... but, who never really opened their heart to God. The message is that one's religion is in vain, unless one's heart is first committed to God.
Physical circumcision from the law was a shadow of being cleansed in the covenant from the House of Abraham which to bless those of the descendants of Isaac ...... But through Lord Jesus and the New Covenant of the New Creation Lord Jesus through the spirit cleanses the whole body and soul and spirit , so the shadow of circumcision of the flesh cleansing is abolished from Heaven .......
