I read a good answer that indicates that they did have faith. They must have told their children about God, or how else would their children have known?
I can't help but think of my own parents when I try to picture Adam and Eve. They were both believers, but far from perfect.
It's also sad how many people throughout history have refused to believe.
I believe that the Bible describes both Abel and Seth as having faith.
But what about Adam and Eve?
God redeemed them with the sacrifice of an animal (he made clothing of skins for them). But there really isn't a definitive statement about whether or not he stayed faithful. Personally, I am under the belief he did, as the text doesn't really indicate any further failings of Adam.

Yes. I probably should have re-read it first. I had forgotten.
I would hope your God wouldn't go through the time and energy of creating the very first humans (his first children), just to dump the in hell or whatever.
they too will bow before Christ. lets not assume that they were somehow super spiritual. Plus, they did not have faith. they seen things in order to believe. those who have not seen are those with faith. they are no different than thomas, he had to see in order to believe.
They seen things we did not, so they had to believe. we will be more blessed, because we have not seen but still believe. But make no mistake about it, adam and eve will both bow before Jesus and confess him as lord.
In Genesis 5...Adam lived nine hundred and thirty years and he died ......In Mark 15: 37 ``Jesus cried with a loud voice , and gave up the ghost..``...In Genesis 25: 8...``Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age , and full of years [175 years]...... Adam had a taste of God eternal life , and a great grand father spiritually to Lord Jesus... but the Bible does not say he had the spirit of God to give up at His passing , and he was not born again in the spirit of Christ , whether the Lord Has Adam only God knows , and it would be vain confidence in the Lord to proclaim Adam in Heaven .........
God said Adam would work by the sweat of his brow until he returned to the earth via death. He did not say when Adam died he will go to heaven. But God did promise Adam and Eve a Saviour. Adam and Even eventually will be saved due to what Christ did (read Romans 5:18,19). When? I don't think anyone knows.
Adam is in the lineage of Christ. Christ died for Adam's sins. All of Adam's sins have been died for. Not only that but Adam was ransomed by Christ (1 Timothy 2:4-6) Anyone or any animal in the bible that was ransomed must be freed. Adam and Eve will be freed from sin and death and be freed into God's salvation (see 1 Timothy 2:4-6 again).
They slipped up like we humans often do. It does not make them evil of failures, they have faith. They just failed to demonstrate at a certain moment.
I believe in the mercy of God.
Well said. I've always felt this way too.
