The God in my Mum and Dad who are not bible believing christian's. Where they are he is. I take it that you really do think it is for best if they ended up in eternal torment for not believing Jesus loves them.

Really ... with the non-committal answer? Typical. Weak.
Want to try again? God OR both your mom and dad together?
Is Universalism a threat to Christianity? Christian Universalism states that Jesus/God accomplished the goal of saving all humans from their sin. IOW all people (in the universe) are reconciled with their creator regardless of belief. So God says you are saved so you have no choice but to be saved (simplified version). Isn't that a good thing?
"Isn't that a good thing"? ~ ya if it were true, but it's NOT.

Back later...
OK, if i choose God over me mum and dad, i deserve to tormented in the fundy hell
I know i know you think Jesus told us to hate them or not like them as much as him. How the hell did we ever get to place that we would think that is what he meant ?. In a nutshell he was saying, do not let your family hinder you walking in the way of life.(but it can't mean that because it is not bible language, especially not the thou must chooseth language that gives you fundamentalists itching ears).
Go back to page 1 to what I stated. Nothing we say here is threatening God's plan. Nothing you have claimed here is threatening to me. The animosity may be on your end - but it isn't with me. I am just giving you God as He presents Himself, without an agenda.
Don't like the Proverbs verbs... how about this one?
Romans 9:22-23 - What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction? 23 And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, 24 even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.
The reason for unbelievers is right there for you - if you can stomach it.
The two underlined parts are the believers, and unbelievers.
First, there is nothing in that verse to indicate those vessels are believer/unbeliever. That's just your labeling.
Second, there is nothing in the language being used in that verse to infer that those vessels are different. Such that one could be a cup filled with water (vessel of wrath) and the other could be a cup filled with wine (vessel of mercy) or vice versa. Once the water is poured out and wine is poured in the vessel is now a vessel of mercy.
Do you understand now? The vessel doesn't change only the use or what it is filled with changes. The inside of the vessel of wrath is ruined (destruction). If God wants to change the use of the vessel, he can as shown with Saul. Saul didn't choose to believe, God made it so.
This aligns perfectly with the other verses that show it is God that does the work not man.
