Yes!
...there are no original manuscripts.

Of course it falls on the ground. Some things are just facts of life, and your opinion cannot change it. You can DEMAND the Bible is nonsense, but it won't make it so.

PS You suck at defining views of other people, so why continue year after year?
The bible isn't full of nonsense, but plenty of the people who claim they love it are when they refuse to review it critically. Failure to do that simply points to a weak god and even weaker religionists who haven't the faith to stand true when they discover the writing in it came from flawed men.

We know you don't argue with the Bible, Finn. you DEMAND that the Spirit and the Bible be in harmony. You never test it or justify it. You just DEMAND it . . . no matter how ridiculous or unreasonable pretending they are in harmony might be.

I do not demand the Bible to be nonsense. I know that your belief that it is the 100% inerrant word of God is nonsense. You think your belief is the equivalent of the law of gravity??? Sad, very sad. The bible CONTAINS God's inspirations, but it also contains the "precepts and doctrines of men."What you refuse to do is acknowledge the clear and unmistakable contradictions and inconsistencies between your reading of the Bible as inerrant and the Spirit of agape love who IS God. Pretending they do not exist may preserve your dogma, but it endangers your soul and standing with God who IS agape love.

Your demand that the bible is the inerrant infallible word of God does not make it so. If it was the word of God the scriptures would be Life, but your failure to understand this or your out and out rejection of Jesus saying there is no life in the scriptures that all they do is testify of what is Life(I AM The Life) proves you do not have an ear to hear what God is saying, .............Jesus Christ demonstrated Life in Love.

To the OP, there is no command to believe the bible, but you can trust the one it testifies of to show you the true nature and character of God. Demonstrated no greater when on the cross saying those amazing words of "Father forgive them for they know not what they are doing".

By doing the TWO GREATEST commandments of LOVING GOD and LOVING NEIGHBOR, ALL the laws are fulfilled, and by doing so, the world will know we are His disciples.

as long as we understand "Christ" is a perspective, not a person.

What Jesus meant was by "doing Christ" you will be saved from many of the angst of this world. "He" is not a noun, "he" is a verb. The great "I am-ing". Like running. Would you describe the traits of "one leg" to define "running". How about just describing the "piggie toe" to define "running? well that's what fundamentalist do with god. They say the piggie toe is the "running".

Can you separate "running" from the legs? Are there parts of "running" that we didn't "see" that are important until we studied it? Like head winds? food intake? Rest? Do all things "run"?

The fundies wonder why we cry wee wee wee all the way home. "running" isn't the point of "running". Jesusing isn't the point of jesusing.
