The part that makes sense to me is:

John 3

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Is it that it makes sense, jimmie?

Or is it what you really, really, really, want to be true?

Whats this one do for you?

Genesis 6:6-7King James Version (KJV)

6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Let's look at the entire passage.

5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

It's a sad event with a happy ending.

How does what you have added make the story more favorable to an all knowing creator?

It means God gave man free will & he (man) blew it, except for Noah & his family.

And an all knowing god/creator had no idea what the outcome and utter destruction it would have to do because of this "free will" design choice it made?
