"Having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us and which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him. Therefore let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ." (Col 2:14-16)

You're right. Paul had the authority to circumvent the commands of God and abolish the 4th-commandment. Paul also became the new improved Jesus. The Sabbath day of 'delight' was, of course, really a hostile decree. So was the 'thou shalt not kill', 'honor they father and thy mother', etc.
So, what the Gentile Christians did was to replace the 'hostile' 7th-day Sabbath with a 'Sunday sabbath' which was not 'hostile'. Makes sense.
Right, you just don't believe that it replaced the previous covenant or that it was also extended to the ret of the world based on the acceptance of its premise.
G-d said it was for the houses of Judah and Israel, period...You cannot get around what G-d said...If you want to know how Gentiles are able to be included then rea Isaiah 56...It is that simple...
It is still valid, but there is no commandment to attend a religions service on any day of the week.
The Sabbatgh is a reminder of who sanctified us(Ex 31:13) of who freed us from bondage(Deut 5:15) and so we do not have to work for what Gods has already done for us.
He is the kind of person we want posting in a Christian forum. That is how they will at least hear the message and when they stand before God in judgment, they will not be able to claim ignorance.
You have to remember that he is invested in a religion rather than just a faith based on God's love, and that in this respect he is a lot like most Christians here. The point made about the religion cobbled around the message of Jesus is valid.
Yea, I'm invested in something that is not made up like Christianity...
Considering Sunday to be the Lord's day is traditional. It is not Biblical. That term is only used once in the Bible(Rev 1:10) and there is no evidence it was Sunday.
Actually, Paul being a former Jew, was more than likely in the same mindset of seeing any day as starting at sunset and ending at sunset as Genesis days of creation began with evening and then morning each day.
It is hard to know if and when a day began to be seen as we see a day starts at midnight today in the N.T., if at all.
It is the same Triune God of Judaism ( Isaiah 48:16-17 ) as He is in Christianity ( Matthew 3:15-17 & 1 John 5:6-9 KJV ). Once again, in christianity, Jesus Christ as God is personally known as prophesied in the O.T. of Judaism.
Now with the New Covenant, it is God's turn, which is why the Old Covenant of "doing the best you can" by God's chosen people is done away with. That is why Jesus Christ is the Good News to man for He is our hope for all things; as our Savior in that He has saved us by believing even in His name ( John 1:12-13 ) as He is our hope as our Good Shepherd to help us to abide in His words as His disciples in following Him. ( Psalm 23rd chapter, 1 John 3:3,8; Philippians 1:6-11; 2 Timothy 4:18;& Jude 1:24-25 )
No, sorry...You haven't a clue to what you are talking about...
