Nonsense, of course. The writers all said their words came from God. Jesus and the apostles all referred back to the prophets as the word of God.

What does perish mean, in this case?

It has nothing to do with what you think - it means, being lost is only temporary.

What do you base that on?

Well, of course the father of lies and author of confusion is going to say that his words are actually the words of God. That's what he does.

So too did David Koresh, Jimmy Bakker, Jimmy Swagart, Paul Crouch, Benny Hinn, Joel Olsteen, etc, etc etc.. and each and every one promised salvation based on what god told them.

Your Bible!

1 Timothy 2:4

... who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of [the] truth.

It's an active, ongoing result of a previous action.

And in the ongoing result of that action; desires (wants, wills) all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth. The action is indicative. Nowhere is it subjunctive, or that of being contingent or probable, nor imperative on the subjects response. Neither is it Optative, as in being unlikely or wishful thinking that mankind might come to this salvation and knowledge.

... And about two-hundred other verses:

My guess is that you
should investigate that which will be destroyed; it's not the man himself.
And there is no such thing as eternal torment - that's a teaching which will be eliminated.

How could you have be lost from God when he is in all things? The truth is we have lost sight of where God is. He's not hiding up in skies because he can't associate with folk who live according to self because they have lost the reality of God and their true self.

It's time to put death these ignorant savage beliefs that God needed appeased and that he distanced himself from us until he's been appeased.
