Me. I bore easily, I love to travel & learn, seldom happy with the status quo, and every 10 years or so I feel the need to move and change my lifestyle completely...although this last 20 years I have been in the same place, same job...but looking forward to "change". My family has always rererred to me as a Gypsy, or a Restless Spirit.

Anyone who doesn't have Jesus in their life. They don't know why they have a restless soul, but not having Jesus as Lord in their lives IS the reason why.

Peace is always out of reach when you don't have the "Prince of Peace" in charge.

I think "restless soul" can mean different things to different people and be the right definition for them..My Mom used to say that Dad was a restless soul because he could never settle in one job, one house or one town for long, before he would walk in the door and announce we were moving again

In my case, "Restless soul" had to do with searching and finally finding peace with my beliefs..

So you are saying if you have Jesus in your life you would not have a restless soul?

Can a restless soul be inherited?

I've heard of someone having a restless spirit. I presume it's the same thing.

What it means to me is that someone can't seem to find a place of inner peace and settledness because they are always searching for meaning in life - searching for elusive answers to questions they have.

I tend to think of myself as having a restless spirit. But contrary to what some profess or believe, I do indeed have Jesus in my life.

Exactly. But....restlessness of the flesh is something completely different. I know you, PG, and your soul is fine.

And no, the restless soul is not inherited. Having a restless mind and nature can indeed be inherited, because it's a fleshly thing. I have it something awful.

I believe a Christian can have a restless spirit when out of God's will.

I don't agree. In fact, I sometimes think a restless spirit can be a sign of wanting to know God more intimately, because at the heart of a restless spirit is a quest for deeper truth. It can take one into a deeper relationship with God by making him/her seek out the deeper spiritual things of the Lord...driving the person to Him to find answers to questions that few others know how to answer.

PG77;
The first thing that comes to mind, is someone that is influenced by an unclean spirit, that is tormented day and especially at night
someone that is separated from God
God Bless You
