I'd say pray for Obama; that he makes wise decisions and acts according to God's will. Also, pray for his family because these next 4 years will be a huge change and undoubtedly a challenge.

It's obvious you've never smoked.

Find someone you know who smokes and take a look at the bottom of their Sunday dress shoes.

All you've shown evidence of is that President-elect Obama doesn't use an ashtray.

Interesting observation there Alpha... my kids were even more disappointed when they found out our new President was a smoker, they said how can he run our country when he doesn't know smoking is bad for him.

godspeed,

freedom

Addictions are an ugly thing, frredom.

Praise God smoking is one I've been set free from. But the urge is occasionally still there.

Smoking shouldn't effect his decision making process....well....unless he's out of smokes and then smokers get down-right irrational.

I did, anyway.

That's BS.
My father never smoked and the souls of his work shoes would wear out exactly like in that picture.
If you don't know that leather souls wear that way - I guess I'd say that it's obvious that you've never had a job where you were required to wear nice shoes...some people wear them every day of the week.

EDIT: I agree that the shoes are not a sign of him not being wealthy. Check out any random sample of wealthy, non-smoking professional men and you will find the same worn souls. Leather souls just do that.

Still...worn out shoes are not evidence of a lack of funds. Maybe he just likes those shoes. Maybe he hates to shop. You never know. But one picture can't prove anything...not that it really matters much.

Heck, I think just being the President is bad for your health.. It doesn't bother me that he smokes, as long as he keeps it private..doesn't look good in public..
Oh one more thing..That photo could have been fixed a little in photo shop, and personally, I think it was

He did a great job of concealing that and many other aspects of his character during the election...

Those bad habits unfortunately will go with him into the most powerful office in the world...
