First of all, don't try to bait me into a personal attack on you.
Second, your analogy doesn't fit the situation. It would be closer had you said: "I support the right of any group (even the KKK, and I'm black!) to march and have rallies, but as a country and also in my family I don't think those groups should have that right".
This is basically what she said, only in regards to same sex marriage.
To make my point even more clear: If she had left the phrase "in my country" out of the second part of her statement, I would have no problem with what she said.
In other words, if she stated that she thought our country was great for allowing both same sex and opposite marriage but on a personal level she thinks marriage is between man and woman...that would have been fine.
The fact she added that she thought that in our country as well as in her family that marriage was between man and women made her contradict the first part of her statement. Got it?
bait an attack????? you have me confused with a liberal black
Ohhhhhhh I should say the way you want me to...I rest my case. We are entitled to our opinion only if it agrees with you. You liberals got busted with your "tolerance" at least admit it.
I said what I said. I will always support the Klans right to march and have rallies. I think it is great to live in a country where we have rights. I may not agree because that is not how I was raised or do I think it's right but I will never take away their rights.

This has nothing to do with you and what you think of the Klan and their right to march. Methinks you are avoiding the topic at hand
What I find ironic about the situation is that Perez says that she should have left out her religion and politics...isn't the issue of gay marriage a religious and political debate? Then he said that she should have said it is for the states to decide...but who is it in those states who are voting? People who have religious and political views that shape their votes.
Dumb question in the first place, because it required an answer that would tickle his ears.
I could see people being upset if Ms. California were running around claiming discrimination/sabotage/unfair treatment...but she's not. She is standing by her answer and her beliefs, while some many others compromise and basically "sell their soul to the devil".
Me thinks liberals won't own up to their hypocrisy?
I will even admit when we conservatives get busted but come on....hypocrisy was there and the world saw it. own up
I'd own up to it if that was the issue at hand here. The issue as I see it is that she directly contradicts herself in a two sentence statement of her opinion. To me, that does not indicate someone who is particularly bright. I dunno maybe she simply misspoke. Or trying to play both sides of the aisle. Who knows.
You are right that liberals can be just as hypocritical as conservatives. Thank you for the label BTW...I guess having a certain position on a single topic is enough for someone to determine your entire political platform. But I digress...

We all have labels my friend. We all do, like it or not. It was fun
ummmmm...dude. It was clear that judge didn't care how she answered but what she said. He didn't like what she said NOT how she said it. You are not accurate in her response-WHICH IS NO SURPRISE-She clearly made it known that it was her opinon! are they not americans as well and judging from the response she represented a few of us.
Seriously, your posts are incoherent and make no sense. Is there something wrong? His post made perfect sense, pointing out why her answer contradicted itself.

You should talkand maybe they are just over your head I never said his posts did not make sense. I said it was inaccurate. She didn't contradict herself-Did she stutter? yes- It was a very tough and sensitive question. I personally support KKK to hold rallies and meetings but I am against racism. Am I contradicting myself?

“Well I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one way or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. You know what, in my country, in my family, I do believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense to anybody out there. But that’s how I was raised and I believe that it should be between a man and a woman. Thank you.”
Lets dissect..
So to her.. its great we are able to choose one way or another (but 99% of homosexuals can't).. she refers to heterosexual marriage as "opposite marriage". She falsely assumes that her country is represented by her family and she failed to answer the original question posed to her.
It was a stupid answer.
Perez didn't like her answer.. he even stated on his blog right afterwards that he didn't like the answer.. not because of her pro-heterosexual stance.. but becasue her answer.. was stupid. And make no mistake.. it was stupid.
So again.. in conclusion:
1. I don't like perez hilton
2. He was a judge.. he didn't like her answer (I agree.. it was a stupid answer)
3. She lost because of her stupidity.. not her bigotry.
thats it..
Her answer was not stupid.....it may have been flubbed up a little but the point was made that she is a Christian and she believes God when He says that homosexuality is an abomination and WRONG.
Have you ever been put on the spot in front of millions of people to answer a question that you know your answer will not be well received? NO, you haven't. Give the girl a break, she was nervous just like any of us would be. I don't believe she meant to even say "in my country"....she meant to just say in my family but that's not what came out to begin with.
You know as well as I do that this Perez nutjob saying he was upset because he simply didn't like her answer (btw, his words...she's a dumb b****) is a lie. He is an out loud, in-your-face homosexual who HATES that she doesn't go along with same sex marriage. Why do you insist on arguing for someone who you KNOW is wrong, just for the sake of arguing?
