What I said was it’s not about a northern bubble or sarcasm. Just that there no reason most people would know MS had substantial visitors, hence why I asked the question-someone took it the wrong way. I called southerners sensitive and then as expected I got a bunch of people tryna teach me a lesson on respecting the south lol.

Ask yourself-how many people not in MS AL LA know anything about MS and it’s tourism industry or why people would visit? You think it’s well known in Cali or Oregon or Kansas or Virginia?

Memphis is more of a draw to me because I’ve heard of it and know some of what it has to offer.
I see you're sensitive about me saying you live in a northern bubble since you keep bringing it up. You seem to always be so dismayed that there are millions of black people who don't live in the Northeast US who live a different lifestyle from you and they don't desire the dense urban lifestyle the Northeast has to offer, it's quite obvious in most of your posts. I live near a dense somewhat northeastern city, so I understand its appeal, but also know that everything isn't for everyone.

If you're going to get pissed off about people making ignorant remarks about Boston, don't act obtuse when you come in and make ignorant, condescending statements about the Southern US, lecturing southerners on their lifestyles, or asking ignorant questions that you could've easily searched for on Google. I'm sure you would've cried foul if someone asked if Black people visit Boston in droves

No I wouldn’t cry foul because they don’t. I’m not sensitive like that.

Yea that has nothing to do with me not living in Boston. I live in Maryland with family in SC NC and GA and friends in FL. I’ve been on the coastal south I know it varies.

So you knew that this type of town existed but made the statements anyway?

You obviously missed the point.

At most I said casino goers (no matter where they’re from) tend to be older and less educated than the general population.
Which is fine but you didn't know anything about casinos in Mississippi or any other aspect of Mississippi tourism. That's not exactly unprecedented given that you're in New England, but to act as though Mississippi has absolutely no tourism to speak of???? Come on bruh...

This response right here is that sensitivity I’m talking about. How can you not see this?
Again, come on bruh...

All you had to do was say "Okay, cool...didn't know Mississippi had those things as far as tourism goes." But then you went on to insult ALL SOUTHERNERS which wasn't cool at all. I personally have zero ties to Mississippi but you were way outta pocket with those insults and they weren't called for. You still seem to not have gotten over the stuff that went down in that other thread.

The point is that THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO CALL SOUTHERNERS SENSITIVE. It's still not getting through to you for whatever reason.

For the umpteenth time, nobody is faulting you for not knowing what Mississippi has to offer visitors. But when you were told that over 20M people visit the state every year and the reasons why, instead of being humble and acknowledging that you learned something, you wanted to project your ignorance onto us and start lecturing us about cars and single-family homes. Like seriously???????

In addition to Clarksdale, Tupelo is another town in Mississippi that gets tourism based on its musical heritage, most notably in connection with being the hometown of Elvis Pressley:
