Right and he knows Philly doesn't have DC's nightlife on any level. Last call is at 1:30 in Philly. That's ridiculous. LOL I have met too many people coming from Philly to party in DC. They Know what's up.
Most people go out around 9-10pm so 4-4.5 hours is plenty,
BREAKING NEWS
an Entire world exists outside the 495/95 Beltway.
Dude. Your attitude about DC's night scene is so warped that it defies logic. You act like it's world class for some reason, but it's not even close. You've talked about how weak Philly and Boston are for having 1:30 as their last call, but DC's last call is also 1:30 for 5 nights a week. It's 2:30 two nights a week. That's hardly a major difference.
What's funny is you talk about how Philadelphians go to DC to party...why in the world would people drive 137 miles so they could stay out for one additional hour when they could drive 90 miles and be in New York City. A larger city that is infinitely more diverse, probably has 20-30 times as many clubs/bars/etc., and stays open forever. Why in the world are people driving that extra hour to get to DC instead of NYC?
I'm not even trying to disrespect DC's scene either. I've had a blast whenever I've gone to DC/Alexandria in the past. However it's not the destination you're describing it as.
Shhhhh you can't bring that up....they don't like to talk about the last call in DC being 1:30am 5 nights of the week. We're only supposed to talk about those two nights they're open later.
But in all seriousness these guys are beyond delusional with no remorse. Theres really no point in bringing facts and valid points into the thread at this point, they had a meltdown a few pages back.

It is a shame at times because I really like DC. I actually just advised my good friend to move there actually. I think it's a fantastic area with tons to offer. However when I come here it sort of turns into one of those jokes about "Hey, what's so bad about Paris? ; It's filled with the French" type of things.
Spoken like someone who is not black, go figure.....
By the way, low income black people are being priced out to the suburbs. Black professional are not however and many are returning to the city. This is the exact thing that is happening in Atlanta as well. Both cities are going to be well under 50% black in 2020. That however has nothing to do with the social class of the black population in relation to amenities in the region for black people. Philadelphia just doesn't have that type of scene for black people so why would professional black people be attracted to it? There is a reason Prince George's County is the richest concentration of black wealth in the nation. If you don't live here, you wouldn't understand.
Many blacks whether poor or middle class families left DC for Prince George's County. The poor moving inside the Beltway to the tons of garden style apts and townhomes and the wealthier moving outside the Beltway to Mitchellville, Bowie, Lake Arbor, Glendale and other outer Beltway communities. Some Blacks are moving back but not many at all. Middle class college educated and poor blacks are still moving out of DC moreso than moving in.

Because D.C. is where black people come to party, not New York. Every time he has listed a nightlife spot, it has been a predominately black venue. That seems to be the major point you and many on here are missing in relation to nightlife. The list of the top 100 clubs in the nation that D.C. had three on were all black venues as well. It's just the culture of the city. U street may be one of the livest upscale black nightlife strips in the nation.

No, actually black professionals are moving into southeast DC in droves. They are leading the gentrification wave east of the river. You can read up on it. Just google the topic. They have some really great deals and it's still cheap to live there unlike the rest of D.C. proper.
Huh? You mentioned a part of dc that wasn't downtown...and even said yourself "I didn't go downtown" when talking about Dc... Have you confused yourself with your own post? Lmao all I said was "This thread is about DT's" so naming parts of town that are not downtown...is well not what the thread is about, take your time reading...sound out the words ok? Beating a dead horse? Tell your two DC compadres that. They could use a drink and a hug at this point.
you, me and everyone else on thead has gone off topic and some point, do lie to yourself. You've talked about crime rates and 'last call', how about spend more time reading your own crap... And those DC cats aren't my conrads. I've been to both downtowns multiple times, day & night, weekend and weekday, and to be honest, it wasn't much going on in CC at night compared to DC, unless there's some unknown parts of CC that only you and maybe a couple other people on C-D know about.

I have never made a comparison of downtown's in this thread. All I did was list construction happening in D.C. When people got upset about the construction happening in D.C. and called D.C. sterile, that is when I got offended and called a spade a spade. You along with every other Philadelphian on here has yet to talk about the rest of the city which is all I said. Someone reading this site would think center city made up most of the city of Philadelphia. It doesn't....

Old City
Washington Square West
Rittenhouse Square
South Street
Avenue of the Arts (plays and concerts)
The Waterfront (Cav's River Deck, Sugarhouse Casino, Roxxy and Bamboo night clubs, Dave and Buster's)
those are the bustling areas with lots of night life activity at all times of the night. obviously if you walk to penn center or logan square where the financial and business district is then it is going to be dead...
there are other great night life scenes outside of Center City as well like the sports complex (concerts and such), Manayunk (Main Street), UCity, Northern Liberties, East Passyunk Crossing, plenty of areas in the Northeast, Templetown
Make sense? Clearly you were in none of those areas if you think there is no night life activity...
You probably were walking Market Street and JFK. Blvd in the Financial and Business Districts knocking on the office doors of the BNY Melon Center and asking why there are no clubs in an office tower if you think there is very little night life activity in Philly... and clearly you didn't watch any of the videos of the clubs/bars I posted.

Show me where I went off topic....please do. The crime rate talk and "last call" talk came all from DC'sJoke nobody brought that up but him, he opened that can of worms and people went in. MD'sFailure REALLY went off into the deep end..
