a lot of massive urban style appartment building gone up along our light rail. Once the other segments are completed, more high density development will be built in walking distance from them. Right now we only have one line and it rank #2 in ridership per mile. Midtown is booming because of the downtown to med. center rail. They are starting on the downtown to uptown rail.

Houston's doing it the right way. The more they build, the longer light-rail miles get.
Oil hovering above $100 per barrel will help increase Houston density. More jobs, more people and more need for mass transit. Young professionals and emty nesters are selling their suburban home and relocating to the inner loop. Houston in few year will have a good balance of freeways and rails.
