You know, I hadn't thought about it, but I think you're right! They actually have more going on now in Panama City, Panama than Miami has with the boom they are having. More of their stuff has actually gotten out of the planning stages. I actually like their skyline now better than Miami's. Let's just say then that Miami will look more like Chicago than any other US city.
NYC's skyline kills. Midtown alone has more density than the entire city of Chicago. Then throw in downtown to the mix.
The subject of the thread is "Miami and Chicago's Skyline." In other words, Miami's skyline will look more like Chicago than it will New York's in the ways that we have already delineated. We all know New York is dense, so no need in telling anybody here about how "NYC's skyline kills."

He wanted to throw Chicago under the bus...I don't know why

Who knows? Anyway, all you guys from Chicago should be proud that Miami looks to Chicago as its big brother as a way to be when it grows up. We don't want to be Chicago. We could never be Chicago. But we are looking more like it every day.
WELL, thats ALOT of pictures! Miami does have a ton of new construction going on. The thing is, though that all the buildings seem to look alike. They all have the blue windows and the white shell, it seems, by judging from those pictures. I liked the ones I saw of the colorful buildings. I reminded me of the Bahamas. If Miami could make more of their buildings look like those, than that would be pretty neat, and would make Miami's skyline stand out more.
We are working on that. The idea down here is to give our skyline a more tropical look rather than a corporate look. I admit it does look a bit boxy still, and we need more of our larger, more interesting projects to come through.
