If the Big One hits California, will Las Vegas (or Phoenix?) be affected? Are there any fault lines running below Nevada or other states bordering California?
I would never live in California because of the earthquakes and the high cost of living and now the threat of fires. If you live in California, anyday the ground can start shaking and you might lose everything. California is also overrun with gangs and illegal aliens.

There are many fault lines under Nevada as a whole, Las Vegas in particular, though, I don't think is that dangerous of a location. Phoenix probably has even less to worry about. BTW, have you ever considered moving to Sacramento, CA? I've heard the seismic activity risk there is very low compared to the coast, it's a lot more affordable than the coastal cities, has a totally different political climate, and is a lot more low-key.
Can I gouge out your eyes with dull wooden spoons until you're kicking and screaming?
