New York. SF and the Bay Area has a decent Jewish population with a long history, but it's not that big at all in comparison to NYC (or LA). And it looks like you forgot to add LA to your poll.

Damn...and now i'm getting hungry, thinking about Jewish delis lol.

Houston and Dallas are pretty much last. It's weird though because the Houston area once had a vibrant and significant Jewish population.

Thanks for the post. Surprising ones for me were Tucson, Pittsfield, Portland, Harrisburg, Santa Barbara, Atlanta.

Why do you say that? From your post, it appears that the Jewish population of TX has increased greatly since 1990. Or are you saying just >Houston's< Jewish population has declined?

Back in the early 1900s; Galveston was one of the entry ways for Jews into the country. Just figured that it would be more significant than it is now. I think the population is only 40,000 to 45,000 today in the Houston area today.

According to the census, the metro areas with the most Jewish people are NYC by far, then Miami, Philly, DC and Chicago.
