I think I agree with this except for the "Chicago is more diverse" part. The slightly better weather part is a tallest midget contest.

I was hard pressed to find even one Italian bakery in Chicago. I will agree that Mexican cuisine is better in Chicago, but to be fair the amount of people of Mexican decent in Chicago greatly outweigh that in Toronto.
I'll give you one, because it's the only one you'll need: D'Amato's on West Grand Avenue.

Make a high speed rail line from Chicago to Toronto (and all the way up to Quebec City). Please.

Why? The roadways aren't congested along this route (I've driven from Detroit to Toronto dozens of times), and the railways aren't heavily utilized.

My own selfish pleasure. I like to read sometimes while on long trips. Or stare out the window and have a picnic.

They may try it if investment in high speed rail in California between SF and LA pays off. Meanwhile you can fly, or take a bus.

Chicago for now.

I'd Toronto in ten years or so.
It's growing like a weed.
I heard they are building highspeed rail link airport to downtown.
Lots of infrastructure being constructed in time for 2015 Pan Am games.

You hear that LAX? You have some problem as Toronto but its actually ahead of you in plans for direct connection between downtown and airport.

You are correct that we are FINALLY building an Airport Rail Link.. The Pan Am Games is a primer to show Olympic Committee members that the city is ready for the Olympics.. Something Toronto has been seeking for some time now.
