NYC doesn't have burbs like the peninsula. It burns NYCers inside because SF is the 2nd best DT in the US and the 2nd most urban city. It's the 3rd richest city in the world and richer than NYC. SFs more desirable than NYC because it has better jobs, weather, and scenery and in a desirable spot for the new world economy. California has the 3rd biggest billionaire population in the world after US and China all thanks to SF.

Lol before 911 NYC was a dying city becoming an afterthought. Since Giuliani and Bloomberg cleaned up NYC and made it into "luxury city" it became relevant again. NYC used 911 to make a comeback and now it's comeback is dying. SF built its own empire and that's why it's GDP per cap lords over NYCs.
