Not a bad comparison. I'd much prefer to live in the Bay Area over DFW...though I do like Funkytown, I'm going with Oakland on this one.
Guadalajara or San Antonio?
Hmmm, I've never been to either one, but I have to say San Antonio. This really is a tough one though. Guadalajara sounds beautiful and I really can't get excited about living in Texas. I guess I'm just not ready to leave the US.

Boise, ID or Albuquerque, NM?
Albuquerque! I visited recently and really loved NM. There is so much history in the state, and the scenery is gorgeous. ABQ has its problems, but there was a lot to love about its downtown, farmer's market, and unique vibe. I'd also prefer the climate in ABQ to Boise.

Jamestown, NY or Lewiston, ME?
Jamestown, NY. A 3 your drive to Toronto, or a 2 hour drive to either Cleveland or Pittsburgh.
Kenner, LA or Decatur, GA. (I'd probably try Kenner.) Both are under 20 minutes from big cities.
