Last year Maywood finished with around 10 homicides. With a population of 23,000 that makes it more dangerous than some Chicago neighborhoods which are boasted as dangerous. Like little village.
And yet you never hear of Maywood in the Chicago area. All the people I tell don't know where Maywood even is. It's like a forgotten place.
Lake Forest? I grew up 10 mins from there and didn't ever see a homicide!?
It has one homicide not two, not that it matters all murders are bad.
It was a man who killed his ex girlfriend after a troubled relationship and then killed himself. Sad story, but those are the very rare and random killings that happen everywhere from the poorest of the poor places to the filthy rich.
