This is the view from our office. This is looking south along the coast of the lake. Going north is 10x the tall buildings. The skyline and panoramas here dwarf anything in Houston. Come on.
Keep circle-jerking if it helps you sleep better at night.

Exactly. Let's give him a taste of the Houston skyline.

We got it the first time. Nobody is saying they are rivals. People from both cities really don’t care.

What would be more interesting than this thread would be all photos. Chicago or Houston. I'll be playing both sides of that net soon.

Agreed. There is no rivalry. Never was, never will be.

Well, your newspaper certainly doesn't agree.

Houston, Chicago's newfound nemesis, is outdrinking the Windy City when it comes to beer

Chicago, you may want to sit down for this news. Maybe grab a beer, too.

In yet another sucker punch to civic pride, Houston, our newfound nemesis to the south, appears to be drinking a lot more beer than Chicago, according to data from market research firm IRI. Earlier this week, newly released Census data showed that Houston was growing in population and could surpass Chicago as the third-largest U.S. city in the next 10 years. Turns out Houstonians are thirsty rascals, too.

That pic you posted is outdated. Here is a more updated image from about the same view, there is a massive difference in buildings.

^ And that still pales in comparison to what you'd see if you looked north/northeast from the same view. South Loop is a big work in progress while north of that (Loop, River North, Streeterville, Gold Coast, etc) is a lot further along in terms of skyscraper/high rise construction. Funny though because South Loop alone is still better in terms of number of high rises and skyscrapers than a lot of US cities

I think quality vs. quantity is a recurring, underlying theme here.

Most of the "craft" here is so-so. Geared toward the Bud Light drinker.
