Yeah, that’s not a great video of the skyline. The birds were cool though.

Well, I can understand that. That’s the only recent video I’ve found of the entire skyline. With that being said, that’s what Dallas looks like. It many not be appealing for some...but that’s what you’d see if you were here. I don’t see why people are embarrassed by that...it’s nothing that anyone can control. Luckily, it isn’t a concrete drainage ditch like LA River. Now, that would be a real tragedy.

EDIT: Hopefully, I can redeem myself LOL.

Yeah, that was the whole reason why my eyes were drawn to the flood plain.

Here is a panorama I took this evening of downtown Austin. Honestly... it is not even anywhere close to Dallas. Uptown Dallas' skyline gives Austin a run for its money alone.

Agreed. And when you drive through Dallas it feels so much bigger and more urban, imo

Dallas feels way bigger and it has way more buildings, but Austin will likely have more 400 footers. They seem pretty aggressive in building really tall buildings.

I agree with this.
Dallas feels bigger because it is way bigger.
Dallas Metro division is over 4.5M, while Austin is at about 2M.
Austin is 50 years behind Dallas so sure it feels smaller overall because it is.

In terms of 400ft buildings most of Austin's have been built recently while almost all of Dallas's are older than 30. So although Austin isn't going to feel bigger anytime soon it should catch in the 400+ category soon

Some might argue that Dallas skyline is small for its size. There are significantly smaller cities that have bigger skylines.
