Actually no one has put out any "classic in 2000 in my opinion ANYWHERE.The current state of music(commercially)sucks.I stick mostly too neo soul.It never lets me down.
I find myself going back through eighties music. If new things aint popping off right, go back to the old stuff-the garunteed good stuff, till the new artist get their act together

In THIS ERA, I would say those four. And this is taking everything into account(Lyrics, Content, Production, Record Sales, Videoplay).

It's Outkast. They experimented some on their album(mainly Andre), but it was successful. You seriously couldn't go anywhere without hearing Hey Ya.

Get Low? Same thing with what I said about Hey Ya. Lil Jon may not be a lyricist, but he has great production, and always has an all-star list of guests. This is the album that's largely responsible for ATL's crunk movement into the mainstream.

Whatever you wanna call it....it is what it is.HOW and not WHY are not as important as to WHAT is.I never said he was not relevant.I said he was not as relevant TODAY! I admit if he puts out another albaum it will go to number one.But he alone cannot do it.I agree I do not like many southern rap artist>I'm more R&B anyway, but what people want is what they want.It does not have to be good.George Bush was elected President for TWO terms...............

I don't care either way, but I don't understand why everyone hates him and others like him so much. D4L came out with "Laffy Taffy", Dem Franchise Boyz came out with "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It" and everyone was exclaiming they're killing hip hop. What's the big deal? They music to dance or have fun to or whatever. It's nothing to take seriously. I see it as a good thing, because it expands hip hop's image. Everything doesn't have to be lyrically complex and what not. And I don't know why everyone wants to say "the South did this" and "the South did that", as if "Chicken Noodle Soup" or "This Is Why I'm Hot" never existed.

Oh and how could I forget Back for the First Time & Word of Mouf? Chicken & Beer was good too, but I think those first two were Ludacris' best.
