You probably were looking in the wrong places. Short North, German Village, Downtown, Arena District, OSU campus, etc.. There are plenty of places with clubs and partying. It's not too boring if you are a young professional or college student. After that age though, it's a family oriented city. But within the city limits, I'd say a good half of it is urban, other half mixed with suburban due to the land it annexed. There are some VERY urban areas, it's not as homogeneous as it seems. Most people that go to Columbus just go to the shopping districts lol. I can assure you, I've been to much more boring large cities, MUCH MORE.

I should probably point out that I do believe DUI laws should be very strict. I think my original post may have suggested that I was in opposition of Arizona's DUI laws.

Eh, if you're a student at OSU it is probably one of the funnest (is that even a word?) places you can be. Usually what happens is by the time they graduate, the college-aged OSU student gets married, has kids, and stays in Columbus because the city really is a very nice, calm, low-key place. And OSU games are very exciting. That's why it seems boring/bland. The Short North is pretty neat/unique but it seems to be more geared towards the gay community from what I've seen.

Cleveland has a lot more "fun" things to do, being more city-like and diverse. I don't go down to Cinci much so I can't say anything about it.

San Jose. It has to be the most boring "city" of 1 million people in the world.
