Because you insist on applying random standards to suit whatever argument you come up with against LA.

You are the one who said NY and LA are tied. That is the ridiculous statement, not mine. There are no ties especially between cities that size with a very large population difference between them. Both of them don't revolve around nightlife like Miami does. So of course Miami will have better nightlife than Dallas or Phoenix or whatever else you said. But NY and LA are the 2 most balanced cities in the country for things and to say NY is tied is not true.

Not really. Places like Austin, New Orleans, Nashville, and Boston have a much better nightlife than some cities twice their size.

Those places revolve around nightlife. There is a difference when a city revolves around it vs a cities that are well balanced in everything and large.

You have me confused with someone else.

Anyway, yes, they are tied. I won't bother responding to anymore of your posts on this topic, sense you are arguing about population, which, again, holds absolutely no merit.

Population is the people. Without the people and the tourists there is no nightlife.

P.S. They are not tied.

You can leave this controversy if you want to. But I will still stand right here.

Not really. Austin and Boston have a lot more going on than nightlife and tourism. Have you partied in all the cities mentioned including LA? I'm not saying your wrong, but sometimes I wonder if half these East coasters who claim NYC's nightlife is so superior to LA have ever spent a significant amount time in SoCal. Just curious.

Boston yes it is diverse. But Austin revolves around nightlife. And what do you consider a significant amount of time?

I don't know. Enough get the full experience of the city. It would take a lot longer with a huge city like LA then it would Austin. I'm not from LA so I couldn't tell you. How much time have you spent in LA? I haven't partied in either LA or NYC. I'm just asking out of curiosity.

But as for Austin, a week at SXSW, or going just to few music festivals, shows, clubs, and bars on six street would be good enough me. I would say there is a lot more than nightlife going on in Austin. We're not talking Vegas here. It's one the best job markets in the country right now and has a huge tech industry as well as a major university.
