DC Streetcar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anyone think this will help pull away from the DC vs SF public transit argument?

I remember when i use to go on a DC thread and it would be losing everytime. Good to see things have turned around. Not that C-D polls truely matter...

DC has better nightlife, better looking women, better museums, better transportation and it is closer to more important cities. San Fran has better topography and nicer weather.

not sure why people are surprised, it's a where to rather live, not where to rather vacation in. DC has a broader range of high end jobs and also a nice location...plus it's the nation's capital. I think SF is the more interesting city, but career wise DC would be a better choice for myself, and many others...The last 5 years, people are choosing jobs.

Streetcars = Under construction
Silver Line = Under construction
Purple Line = Expected to begin construction in 2013/2014
Damn! DC is lucky that they get a % of money from the feds for rail

I picked DC. San Francisco is fine, better weather for much of the year for sure (DC wins summers though), but I felt like DC had more to offer and was more world-class.

I think most people would choose SF's summer over DC's. I'd give spring and fall to DC.

I don't know San Francisco city limits can be rather cool during summer months. Highs in the 60's isn't what I call the best summer weather. Now San Jose and most of the east bay from Walnut Creek down to Fremont has awesome summer weather.
