Lucroy is going with his no trade clause. Not going to the Tribe is what I'm reading.

I'm not worried about the tigers. They can't beat the Indians for their lives. But it's still good we've won three in a row given their streak though.

Salazar just put on 15 day DL after his horrendous outing. Some fear for the worst - a dead arm. Hopefully it's not that bad. Hopefully also he learns new pitches while he recovers because starters who rely too much on the fastball will eventually see their velocity diminish or get whacked around by great hitters who love fastballs and there are plenty around the league.

Why is it that the Indians can best anybody except the worst team in the AL?

NHL Playoffs 2016: How Are TV Ratings Ahead Of The Stanley Cup Finals?

Quote:
When 1.1 million viewers watched the San Jose Sharks beat the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals, it marked a 34 percent decrease from last year, as well as a 23 percent decrease in viewership from 2014. It was the least watched game of the conference finals since 2014.
Cavs!
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...ls-since-1998/

Quote:
The game drew an 18.9 overnight rating, making it the highest-rated sports telecast on ABC since 2006. The overnight rating peaked at 25.5 from 10:30 to 10:45 p.m., coming during the final stretch of the fourth quarter. The game also was the most-watched NBA game in ABC history with a record 30.8 million viewers tuning in. The viewership peaked at 44.5 million viewers from 10:30 to 10:45 p.m.
Conclusion: The Blues are completely irrelevant and can't hold a candle to the significance of the Cleveland Cavaliers. This falls in line with the vast majority of St. Louis - Cleveland comparisons.

Default Anatomy of an ace

The return of Corey Kluber. After a shaky start to the season, Kluber was the winning pitcher in this year's All-Star game and has become Tribe's stopper after a stretch in which his fellow battery mates have faltered.

Indians' Corey Kluber continues dominance | indians.com

So once again, the Tribe has opened up a six-game lead over the Tigers in the AL Central Division with only 45 games remaining in the regular season. And a rested Danny Salazar returns to the starting rotation on Thursday.

Default Tribe defense stiffens even further, as bats explode

With Jose Ramirez now anchoring third base, the Tribe's defense has rounded into one of the best in the AL.

And it's a hard-hitting infield, with Ramirez, Francisco Lindor, Jason Kipnis, and Mike Napoli all having great years at the plate. Kipnis' defense has seen a major uplift this season:

I'm curious to hear from those in the CLE area their opinions on why attendance at games is so low. We were there on Sunday and attendance was 18,000 plus. Not great for a team in first place during the middle of August, but the weather was iffy and the game was delayed by about an hour and 45 min. At the time I figured that reduced the number of walk-up purchases.

The past few games have had attendance numbers falling between 12,000 and 14,000. To me (and no doubt others) that is surprisingly low. What gives?
