It will be interesting to see if divisions ever come back in the Power 5 of college football.

The Pac-12 got rid of their divisions last season, the ACC is getting rid of their divisions this season, the Big XII got rid of their divisions when they dropped down to 10 teams (they talked about going to two 7 team divisions for 2023, but chose against it), and both the Big 10 and SEC will get rid of their divisions in 2024.

A part of me can't wait for major college football to break away from the NCAA all together!

Now, there is no point to divisions. With 18 and possibly 20 team conferences, having divisions would not really serve a point. Schools would not even play all division opponents in the same season.

That was a response to Tall saying East might be > West.

We'll see.

We'll have to see how good LSU really is this year, if Georgia can compete with the West bigs, and how good is Vandy? Are they gonna compete this year?

We'll see.

Hard to gauge anything accurately after Cupcake Week.

Good on the... my Buffs for playing the low-rated Frogs and coming up with the V.

Big 14 should do something, not sure what, Pac 12, we'll see.

Also, well how good is Alabama going to be? This team does not look like the ones in recent years. How will Milroe hold up?

Is Ole Miss for real too?

Not sure about Bama, they have been cranking out top teams for many years now, 11 years of this thread and into the mid 2000s for sure.

LSU is choking now and that's gonna be a huge hit to SEC West stock. Ole Miss? Don't know, wouldn't hang my hat on it.

We will find out more about Bama this weekend against Texas. Playing MTSU does not tell a whole lot.

Well, Bama looks done, but that's ok.

Next year, the SEC West is gonna get shored up by Texas and Oklahoma.

Might actually do the Sooners some good playing some actual competition week in and week out.

We shall see.

It was one heck of a run though, especially from 2009-2020, winning 6 National Titles!

I'm actually enjoying seeing teams other than Alabama and Clemson doing well and winning national titles.
