LSU has defeated 6 bowl winning teams! Defeated 2 BCS winning teams who are out of conference (Oregon and Clemson)! With the only bowl team they defeated that lost being Georgia who lost on a FG in double OT. This has to be the greatest resume for a season ever!
Can anyone argue for another team in history that had a better resume?
No. The 2005 USC Trojans were the greatest ever. Just ask ESPN.
Over a period of three weeks from December 2005 into January 2006, ESPN compared them to other national champions like the 1869 Princeton Tigers, the 1875 Harvard Crimson, the 1888 Yale Bulldogs, the 1896 Lafayette Leopards, the 1905 Chicago Maroons, the 1917 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the 1924 Penn Quakers, the 1937 Cal Golden Bears, the 1943 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the 1948 Michigan Wolverines, the 1953 Maryland Terrapins, the 1954 UCLA Bruins, the 1961 Alabama Crimson Tide, the 1963 Texas Longhorns, the 1974 Oklahoma Sooners, the 1976 Pitt Panthers, the 1980 Georgia Bulldogs, the 1986 Penn State Nittany Lions, the 1990 Colorado Buffaloes, the 1994 Nebraska Cornhuskers, the 1999 Florida State Seminoles and the 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes, and then they asked sports fans all across America to get online and vote for whichever team they believed was better.

The 2005 USC Trojans won. Every. Single. Poll.
Greatest. Team. Ever.
The same 2005 USC Trojans that lost the National Championship? .
As much as I would love to say yes, they still haven't even won the national title yet, so it's way too premature to be even thinking along those lines. If they go out and manhandle Alabama, we might be able to entertain that question, but can't even think about that now.
But even with a victory over Alabama, there would be some legitimate arguments for other teams. The 2004 Trojans were better, but ineligible. The 2001 Miami Hurricanes were also pretty dominant, and eligible, and were very close to winning back-to-back BCS titles the following year. The 1996-97 Cornhuskers were incredibly dominant. Then there's Florida St. in 1999. All very good teams that could have given this year's LSU a run for its money.

Clemson didn't win their bowl... Also, West Virginia just scored again.
And the 2005 Longhorns are the greatest team ever.

I don't mean based on talent... I'm talking based on the resume of the schedule? Has any other team in history beat as many bowl winning teams in a season? or as many ranked teams for that matter...
And of course I realize they have to beat Bama... That should be understood.
are you a 23 year old 4th grader in some Parish in South La ? ?
You sound the 4th grader... real mature
Can you read? Can you comprehend what you read?
I didnt say they were! I'm just asking the question... If someone has a better resume, do tell. I am just not aware of any team beating so many other successful teams in a season so I'm asking because there may be...
