Point is, they don't play many good teams, whereas half of Florida's schedule is made up of good-to-decent teams.

Utah is 31st in Strength of schedule, ahead of USC, Bama, Penn St.

So I don't figure how they don't play anyone, unless your saying Bama and USC dont play anyone either

Utah's schedule:
Michigan 3-9, just awful this year
UNLV 5-7, bleh
Utah St. 3-9, awful
Air Force 8-5, probably a 4 win team in a decent conference
Weber St. 10-4 in a pseudo high school conference
Oregon St. 9-4, decent team
Wyoming 4-8, awful, should probably be Div. II
Colorado St. 7-6, bleh
New Mexico 4-8, bleh
TCU 11-2, really good team
San Diego St. 2-10 LOL
BYU, a very overrated 10-3
bowl beat a great 'Bama 12-2

combined records of Utah opponents: 88-77

Essentially, they play 3 games a year.

Florida's opponents were closer to 100-70 and they play about 5 good teams.

Penn St. plays many mediocre teams with similar styles.

Bama plays some good games.

USC plays about 3 tough games. Their schedule is a joke.

I'm not saying Utah plays as tough a schedule as Florida because they do not. However they do not also play cupcakes every week. This isn't my opinion this is provide in the link below. It would be one thing if they were 72nd in SOS but they aren't their 31st and that is respectable.

LOL at those SOS listings. I stopped looking when I compared Utah's schedule to Alabama.

Garbage.

Garbage.

They dont throw a dart at the wall and say well they have the 31st hardest schedule. Sorry but facts and stats out weigh personal opinion and Utah has a tougher schedule than Bama.

You criticized Utah for playing weak teams Bama played Ark. St(6-6), Western Kentucky(2-10), Tulane (2-10). In fact Bama opponets were 83-80 if you dont include the 13-0 Utes, compare that to the 88-77 record of the Utah opponets and I think theres some logic behind Utah being 31st in SOS

If you play good teams you have a better SOS than if you play bad teams. Utah played and beat 4 top 25 teams, they beat the team that beat USC, they beat Bama and in a more convincing fashion than Florida did.

Lets look at OU, #1 in SOS. They played and beat the then #24, 16, 2, 12, 20 and lost to the then ranked #5 and #1 team in Florida.

You can look at the inverse La Monroe SOS 118, whose main game was a loss to then a wayyy overrated Auburn. Otherwise they played North Texas, Alabama A&M, FIU. Not exactly the top tier football teams
