Being a Bama fan, I'd rather be on suspension again then be a fan of Big Blue. Great game though!

Hey guys, dbkeel1 called this game back in May, he deserves a Rep point from everyone. He called it, stuck with it and was right at the end. Cheers to dbkeel!!

Its funny reading through this thread as it played out. The first responses....they will get smoked, blown out etc......then the story unfolds as the biggest upset college football history and the tide of the thread turns. Interesting to say the least. Congrats to App St. !!!! Great Job guys!!!

What a great start to their year for ASU! While one loss or one win does not a season make, I suspect ASU will have a fantastic year!! I wouldn't discount Michigan though... this may have been the best thing that could happen for them this year and will serve to motivate them to return to a higher level of play.

Thanks for the kudos. Not my doing, though, it was all coach Jerry Moore and his staff. They're an impressive group.

App's applied to the NCAA to move to D1 in the past and been passed over. I wonder if this win will finally get someone to take their application out of the trashcan and reconsider? Conference USA needs a good football team.

I've been thinking about that too, dbkeel. Thing is, the NCAA just enacted a 4 year moratorium on moving up. I don't know how recently you've been to Boone or listened to the debate on this, but the move would involve a bigger stadium and consistent attendance. Recent construction, the two national championships, and now the U of M defeat all bode well for us, but if we can't apply until 2011, it'll still be a long road. Till then, let's keep shocking any D-I schools who'll still play us and keep trying to get these national championships in the bank. No school has ever had a threepeat. Hopefully we can change that this year.

Default A Great Day for College Football !!!

App State's victory over the wolverines is epic........It's Hoosiers 2007......It's one for the little guy.........Funny, it happens in basketball all of the time but football? Rare indeed......I believe from here on in given the parity in college sports there will be other football "Davids' slaying Goliath....Great day for the Neers'..........I just sent away for some App. State shirts...We will be retiring to NC in two years....Boone is about 75 minmutes away.....Can't wait to go and see some games.......

It was an impressive victory, but to be fair, Michigan is terrible this year, and their coach is slow to adapt to changes in the game.
