Wow. Just wow.

Ignorance at its finest. But I believe you. I am not at all surprised that you would rather drink a poison rather than use a natural plant.

You got yourself a double-dose of government brainwashing. If you don't agree, then let's take our discussion to a more appropriate forum, although I already know that if I tried to teach you the facts every day for 10 years it would not move your needle in the slightest. I just posted my thoughts about that in this thread: After fighting for freedom, 76-yo vet sentenced to die in prison for treating his illness with cannabis.

Quote:
To be honest, I don't know why I continue posting about it. Prohibitionists are never swayed by facts and first-hand information. Their facts come only from "studies", and even then the "studies" are disregarded if it does not support their position. If there are any fence-sitters that are undecided about this, then posting facts and trying to educate them would be worth it, but I do not believe there are any. It seems everyone has already decided how they feel about it, and nothing short of the creator Himself returning will change anyone's mind.

So this thread, while necessary, will do nothing to change the opinion of those who believe this vet got what he deserved. Seeing a few of the close-minded responses confirms this.

It is really 78 years of corrupt government brainwashing that sealed this guy's fate, along with millions upon millions of other lives ruined and/or destroyed.

Some people just don't like weed. I don't think it could be that bad.

Alcohol is awful for someone like me. That's why I've been continuously sober for over 12 years and mostly sober for the last 22 years.

But to be a pro-cannabis person who spouts off about alcohol being poison and a government conspiracy is laughable.

To some people, alcohol is food. Some folks drink alcohol and don't get drunk.

How many people smoke weed because they like the smell or the taste, but not to get high?

I'm of the believe that it's more than a consideration but a fact. Alcohol is food. It has caloric value. To an extent, it's good for many, to the tune of 80 to 90% of us.

But boy, that 10 to 20% of us sure make a lot of noise.

Very good point. My polish relatives over in Europe consider beer a food and drink it at breakfast and thats totally normal over there.

Beer is simply liquid bread.

I do have occasionally wondered if the drugs of 100 years ago were never outlawed, would we still have the proliferation of synthesized compounds we deal with today.

Another law suite now and I am for this one.

A lawsuit has been filed against Pueblo County officials claiming that a petition for a ballot question that would put an end to commercial marijuana in the county violates Amendment 64 and is unconstitutional.

The lawsuit contends that the recent initiative process violates Amendment 64, the 2012 constitutional change that legalized retail marijuana in Colorado.

I'm curious. Even if such a ballot question was put to a vote, do you think Pueblo County voters would vote commercial marijuana in or out?

It won last time in Pueblo county 60-40 and I think it would be about the same if not more this time.

Something like 35 illegal Marijuana grow busts in Pueblo County so far this year.

Southern Colorado just had a huge 5 county bust which was run by some Asian countries. The product was supposed to go to Texas and Arkansas.

Why do they throw the weed away? Why not send the product to a dispensary or a pharmacy and donate a portion of the proceeds to the Pueblo fleet shop so they can upgrade and maybe even put a coat of paint on those ghetto sleds?
