Winter Storm Warning for a lot of the state Friday. This has the makings of a doozy of a snow machine.

A good steady rain going on in Mesa County this morning with the Grand Mesa getting it good. Southwest part of the state looking at 18 to 24 inches of snow, 6 to 8 inches from the Bookcliff mountains to Meeker and Craig is forecast, I-70 from Glenwood and points east is getting it good as well.

It's been pretty rough going driving the passes yesterday. KKCO-11 in Grand Junction said that Vail Pas and the Eisenhower Tunnel were closed for a time yesterday, Monarch Pass too. so far for this week it looks like sunny and warmer temps in Mesa County with temps in the 40's and low 50's.

A nasty storm got real nasty east of Grand Junction east of DeBeque canyon this morning, around 25 miles east of GJ. KKCO-11 reported that the road is still shut down. 18 vehicles involved, 7 of them tractor trailors.

Finally getting some much-needed snow here in the San Luis Valley. Roughly 4 inches here in Alamosa so far. Got a long way to go to get out of this drought, but this helps.
