Cromartie say at a meeting once. He said, “I don’t know why this community doesn’t build attractive buildings.” He actually said that. Maybe it’s because the DDRC is trying to recall features of existing buildings with their approvals for new ones and the existing buildings’ blandness is carrying too much weight.
Look what they did when the Hub wanted to add color to the bland Palmetto Center. Oh, we can't have that.

I knew the building was in rough shape, but take a look at the photos included toward the end of the submission. This is going to be a massive undertaking. The contractor is going to have to completely shell the building and will probably need to add several structural reinforcements. So impressed that someone is willing to take on such an ambitious project.

Mutiny, the picture didn’t show up... but if I had to guess what you may have put, the Meridian building comes to mind as being aesthetically pleasing. And the Tower at Gervais and Main counts as second IMO

I think the state has someone who constantly monitors this forum. Just saying. They’ve copied, several things we’ve talked about before, and printed them the next day after we talk about them. Like stalled projects. Or this. At least credit us city data users if you are. Lol

Here's the rendering from the article. I like the design but the color scheme is too neutral IMO:

Paint it Carolina Panther Teal and it’ll get approval. But considering Palms 1 the original
Is mostly white I can see the design committee just greenlightung it as is
